

Dr. Finley received his dental degree from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, and his Certificate of Prosthodontics from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Dentistry in 1972. He was a worldwide lecturer and author in the field of dental implantology. Dr. Finley was a Fellow in the Academy of Osseointegration, Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and was on the Kansas State Board of Specialty Examiners.
He also enjoyed boating, was an accomplished custom knife maker, and enjoyed barbecuing & cooking. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching soccer, volleyball, and football.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of 54 years, his children: Mike (Jodie) Finley, Scott (Mia) Finley, and Kristin (Chad) Derowitsch; sisters: Suzanne Burns and Carolyn (Larry) Baker; his grandkids: Nick, Emma, Ashlyn, and Ryan; and his dog Lulu.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Wayside Waifs or
St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 11 – 1 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the McGilley State Line Chapel with a funeral service following at 1 p.m.
