Joe was born in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Joyce Bresina. He graduated from Center High School in 1984.
At age 14, Joe started his professional journey as a chef working at Texas Tom's on Troost Avenue. He spent the rest of his career working at Stroud's, Garrozzo's, Jack Stack and the Cheesecake Factory. For a while, he owned his own restaurant, Beauchamp's on the Rail in Lee's Summit. Joe also owned and operated Joe B's Limo Service which served the entire Kansas City Metro area. Joe was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous, sponsoring hundreds of individuals on their path to sobriety. He had celebrated 24 of sobriety prior to his passing.
Joe was very proud of his lawn and loved spending time on his John Deere tractor listening to music with his headset. He loved devoting his time sharing the story that led him to sobriety, hoping to be a helping hand in other's recovery. He was most proud of being a phenomenal father and Papa. Joe also adored dancing, it warmed his heart dearly and when he was younger he could cut a rug and clear a floor.
He was preceded in death by his natural father, James Bresina; his Dad, James Beauchamp; a sister, Jamie Weems; a niece, Rebecca Lagera; and sponsor, Bill Sanders. Joe is survived by a daughter, Natasha; a grandson, Zion; his mother Joyce (Donald) Howell; five sisters, Bobbie (Don) Fraser, Janene (Robert) Perillo, Judi Beauchamp, Teresa (Shawn) Law, and Angie (Brian) Alyea; four brothers, Ray Beauchamp, Alan (Angela) Beauchamp, Tony Beauchamp, and Scott (Cinnamon) Beauchamp; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and sponsor Steven (Terri) Grace.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00pm, Thursday, May 13 at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
