Joseph R. Estrada, 67 of Kansas City, KS died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at KU Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the 21st Street Church of God, 95 S. 21st Street, Kansas City, KS. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the church.

Joe was born May 21, 1943 in Kansas City, KS to John F. and Felissa (Perez) Estrada. Joe worked as a carman for several railroad companies, retiring from Union Pacific. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by step son Henry Hernandez. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of eight years, Victoria of the home; 8 sons, Joseph R. Estrada, Jr. of Hernando, MS, Jon David Estrada, Stephan C. Estrada (Gina), Kenneth Traughber and Nick A. Estrada, all of Kansas City, KS, James C. Estrada, Mark A. Estrada and Kevin M. Estrada, all of Kansas City, MO; two step daughters, Michele Gile of Kansas City, KS and Marissa Villarreal (Victor) of San Antonio, TX; brother, John F. Estrada (Opal) of Roeland Park, KS; three sisters, Teresa Hall, Olathe, KS, Patricia Everson and Melissa C. Clinkenbeard (Sam), all of Kansas City, KS; 31 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
