Joseph A. Reyes

Joseph A. Reyes, 90, of Kansas City, MO passed away at home on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Visitation will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 6-8pm. Funeral service on Saturday at 10am also at the chapel. Burial to follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Joseph was born to Ysidore and Luisa Reyes in Courtney, MO on May 31, 1920. He was a life long area resident and an Army WWII Veteran. Joseph was a custodian for St. Stephen’s Grade School and retired from Montgomery Wards. He loved working in the yard with his flowers and was most happy at home. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Reyes; a grandson, Pee Wee Reyes; a sister, Aurora Straggi and brothers, Tony, Tommy and Louie Reyes. He is survived by his children and grandsons, Angelo (Linda) Reyes and sons, Anthony and Gabriel, Maria Christina Reyes, Stephen (Alicia) Reyes and sons, Eric and Brent; his brothers, Chick and Issac Reyes and his sisters, Virginia Sanchez, Florence Brisben, Connie Garcia and Delores Reyes.
