Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM, at Relevant Church, 101 N. Forest Ave., Liberty, MO 64068. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Judy was born in Elkhart, IN to Joan and Joseph Wilkins on January 21, 1955. She went to school in Bremen, IN. She married Robert “Bob” Johnson on September 18, 1971 in Bremen, IN. Of the many careers she had, she most enjoyed working as a police dispatcher for Bremen Police Department for 10 years.
In 1988, Judy and Bob moved to Kansas City and raised their family where she became involved in community and local high school activities to support her children. Judy’s passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment she spent with them making memories. In retirement, her and Bob moved to Lake of the Ozarks and enjoyed their days on the boat and visiting with family and friends.
She was a member of Relevant Church and had a strong faith in God and Jesus Christ. Her faith was her guide in life at all times.
Judy is preceded in death by both of her parents; step-father, Robert Collins; and granddaughter, Kaelyn (Johnson) Howe.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Johnson Sr.; children, Robert “Bobby” Johnson Jr., Gary (Courtnee) Johnson, and Steven (Stefanie) Johnson; brothers, Ted (Dawne) Wilkins, Rocky Wilkins, Jerry Wilkins, Steve (Donna) Collins; sisters, Beth (David) Batta, Stacy (Tom) Foit, Sue Blanke and Cecelia White; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
