
Katherine Grampsas, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away March 13, 2017. She graduated from Central High School of Kansas City, Missouri. Katherine worked at Stinson Mag for 30 years in their Accounting Department. Katherine was a lifetime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She was actively involved in the church library, Ladies Philoptochos Society, was the treasurer of the VIP Club, had served on the church board and church choir. Her family and her church family was very important to her. She also loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Spiro and Sophia Grampsas, sister Helen Grampsas, brother Senator Anthony S. Grampsas, sister-in-law Shirley Grampsas and brother-in-law
George Mitchell.
Survivors include sister Denesia Mitchell of Louisburg, Kansas, brother Dennis S. Grampsas of Kansas City, Missouri, and sister-in-law Sandy Grampsas of Valley, Nebraska, nephews and nieces, Dennis A. Grampsas (Shari) of Liberty, Missouri, Troy J. Grampsas of Kansas City, Missouri, Lisa Zeis (Dave) of Nebraska, Dr. Samuel Grampsas of Illinois, Sandy Spector (Neil) of Louisburg, Kansas, and Pam Ruhl (Mark) of Lee Summit, Missouri. She was also loved by numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Katherine will be remembered by her vibrate spiritual spirit and always had a helping hand for others.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mt Moriah, Newcomer, & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, with Trisagion at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 20, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 12001 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64145. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Kansas City.
