Katherine was born on December 8, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Central High School in 1963. She continued her education at Penn Valley Community College where she received her Associates Degree.
Katherine was married to the love of her life, Harold Manlove Sr. for 20 years. She was proud to be
a secretary for Shook, Hardy, Bacon, Law Firm for many years and from where she retired.
Katherine grew up and was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church since 1948 and was active in her church in so many activities. Katherine loved traveling, shopping, and dressing beautifully.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, father, Jesse James Rogers, Sr., mother, Ethel Lane Rogers, son, Robert Harper, two brothers Kenneth Rogers and Jesse James Rogers Jr.
Katherine is survived by her husband, Harold Manlove, Sr., son, Jeffrey Dayton and his dear wife, Dana Dayton, daughter-in law, Jennifer Harper, four grandchildren, Zavia Collins, Tori Dayton, Robert Harper & Camille Harper and step-children, Harold Manlove, Jr., Jonathan Manlove, Linda Braxton & Jackie Manlove-Toney as well as many nieces and nephews and 3 special cousins, Brenda, Terri and Micah. She never wanted the time she spent with her family, children & grandchildren to ever end. She loved them very much.
A visitation for Katherine will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm.
