Ken was born on May 25th, 1949 in Fort Scott, Kansas and was adopted by his parents Emmit and Wanda Latimer. He grew up in Colony, Kansas with his older brother, John.
Ken graduated from Emporia State University and went on to work his professional career at Kansas City Life Insurance Company for over 35 years and eventually retired from there in 2009.
Ken married his wife Carolyn in 1986 and they adopted their two children Jenny and Michael.
Ken loved God, his family & friends, church & community, country and his sports teams the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Jenny and son Michael.
His funeral service will be held Monday, July 27th at 10:00AM at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th Street, Leawood, Kansas and his final resting place will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
