Ken is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Esther Mays; his children, Noralea Hamblen, Alan Hamblen, and Scott Hamblen (Carol); his grandchildren, Kayla Rae Webber (Casey, who he proudly called his grandson) and Matthew Hamblen. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren whom he adored, Kenlie Rae Webber and Corbin Jay Webber.
He is also survived by his siblings: sister Ruth Ann Masterson (Earl); brothers Jim Mays (LaQuita), Jerry Mays, and Lonnie Mays (Judy); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phoebe Mays, and three brothers.
Ken worked as a machinist for 45 years and retired from SOR in 2015. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and creating beautiful handmade crafts, listening to classic country oldies, fishing, and spending time with his family—especially gatherings at the lake.
Ken had a great sense of humor. If he was giving you a hard time, you knew he thought highly of you.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him, including his sassy cat, Bella.
