Kevin Patrick Kelly, 66, of Kansas City, MO passed away July 21, 2017. He did not survive the Trump presidency. Visitation from 6-8pm Thurs., Aug. 3rd with rosary recited at 7pm at St. Therese Little Flower Parish, 5814 Euclid Ave., KCMO 64130. Funeral Mass 10am Fri., Aug. 4th at the church. Inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Kevin was born March 29, 1951 in Parsons, KS to Clifford and Thresa Kelly. He was a devout Catholic. Kevin had an extensive career in Journalism. For the final 25 years of his career, he was the Associate Editor of the Catholic Key newspaper for the Kansas City – St. Joseph Diocese. He had an extraordinary knowledge of baseball statistics and history as well as an eclectic and enthusiastic taste in music. Kevin was very loving, giving, humorous, forgiving and intelligent.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Susan; a son, Patrick; a daughter, Johanna Kelley (Michael); mother-in-law, Virginia Daub; sisters, Georgia McNamee, Sheila Warwick (Bill), Colleen Leach and Joyce Moore (Larry) as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.
