Kevin was born March 9, 1959 to Bernard and Clara Petree. The youngest of three boys, he grew up in the Northland of Kansas City, MO. Kevin met Mary (Lantz) on a cold New Year’s Eve in 1984. They quickly fell in love, married on June 29, 1985, and had two children, Veronica and David.
Kevin was an avid Chiefs football fan, who was rarely seen without his favorite cap. He loved the water. He valued memories of his younger years spent at the lake, time spent fishing with his family and friends, and the peace watching the Missouri River flow. Kevin was happiest when he was helping others. He was always available if a deck needed to be built, a cabin needed closing out for the season, car needed brakes, or a simple ride to the doctor’s office. His versatile skills and abilities will be missed by all his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his wife Mary, of 36 years; brothers: Daniel and Jeffrey; children: Jeremy, Veronica (Cole) Isban, and David (Ruth); grandchildren: Leo and Graham Isban; and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews left behind to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Clara Petree; mother and father-in-law, Mary and William Lantz; and sister-in-law Barbara Lantz.
A visitation in memory of Kevin will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Rosary at 7:00pm) on Friday, April 22nd at St. Therese Catholic Church North, near Parkville, MO. A Memorial Mass will also be held at St. Therese’s at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 23rd. A private inurnment will follow.
Memorial contributions in Kevin’s honor can be made to the City Union Mission of Kansas City, MO.
