Kevin Andre Williams

Kevin Andre Williams passed away on July 17th, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on April 25, 1968 in Melrose Park, Illinois to the union of Donald Williams and Evelyn Burks Williams. He graduated in 1986 from Bishop Hogan High School and then served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. After his honorable discharge, he attended Penn Valley Community College (Kansas City, MO) and Langston University (Langston, OK). He married Crystal Standifer on December 4, 2005. They later moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he was employed at Bank of America in accounts payable for almost 10 years. He later worked for Assurity Trucking Company.

Kevin was an avid sports fan, especially of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. He also loved watching the NBA, eating KC Barbeque, and being an avid griller.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Williams; his maternal grandparents, Everett and Esther Burks; and paternal grandparents, Lula and Salatheal Harvey. He leaves to mourn his mother, Evelyn Williams; wife, Crystal Willams and her family; cousins, Phyllis Chase and Sandra Hopkins (deceased), all of Kansas City MO, Rochelle Watson (Charles) of Fontania CA, Rodney Moore (Olita) of Portland OR, Angela Gibson (Michael) and Adrian Stafford of Denver CO, Tamala Burks of Houston TX; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held starting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133, followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service with military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
