

Larry E. Hernandez, Sr., 68 of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Larry’s life will be 2-6 pm Thursday, November 2, 2016 at Drexel Hall in the Kansas City Irish Cultural Center, 19 W. Linwood Blvd., KCMO. You may park at McGilley Midtown Chapel across the street.
Larry was born August 26, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to David and Modesta Hernandez. He was a member of Laborers Union Local #264. Larry worked at KC Stockyards, Armco Steel and numerus years on the construction business before retiring in 2009. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was parishioner of Guardian Angels Church for more than 45 years.
There were many fishing trips with his children and grandchildren to count. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, David and Modesta Hernandez; brother, David Hernandez; and sister, Teresa Luna. Larry is survived his wife, Antoinette, of more than 49 years; his daughter, Mary Jo Hernandez; and his son, Larry, Jr.; three brothers, Robert M. Herandez (Colleen), Richard Hernandez and Steven Hernandez (Cathy): six sisters, Josephine Barrera, Loretta Hernandez, Lenor Rogers, Patricia Garcia (Bob), Vickie Hernandez and Gloria Hernandez. He was a wonderful Grandpa to his four grandsons, Larry, Isaac, Isaiah and Emilio; granddaughter, Martina; great-grandson, Gabriel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care provided by the nursing staff and doctors of St. Luke’s Hospital during his illness. Larry will always be loved and never forgotten by all who knew him. We Love You Daddy!
