Lawrence Edward Donner

Lawrence Edward Donner, 77, Gladstone, MO, passed away September 3, 2010 at Northcare Hospice House. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 9th at the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church, 2800 NE 64th St, Gladstone, MO. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at the Civil Bend Christian Cemetery near Pattonsburg, MO. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Meadowbrook United Methodist Church or Kansas City Cancer Center.

Lawrence was born March 13, 1933 in McFall, MO. He previously lived in Pattonsburg, MO and was a 1951 graduate of Pattonsburg High School. He married Wanda J. Shipers on September 22, 1951. They moved to Kansas City in 1961. Lawrence was a retired meat cutter being employed for 28 years with Milgram’s Grocery Stores. He was a member of the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Lawrence deeply loved his family, loved to travel, was an avid sports fan and generally loved life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Clark and Ruth Siddens Donner; and a brother Robert E. Donner.

Survivors include his wife Wanda J. Donner; children, Edward Rex (Linda) Donner and Deborah (Mike) Donner-Rios; 4 grandchildren, Craig (Amy) Donner and Kim (Art) Negrete; 4 great grandchildren, Alyssa Donner, Matthew Donner, Bailey Negrete and Antonio Negrete; a brother, Billie (Margaret) Donner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
