Lena Mae Eldridge, 76, of Independence, MO passed away July 14, 2014. Visitation from 6-7:30pm Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with service beginning at 7:30pm. Additional visitation at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home (204 W. 3rd St., Stover, MO) on Friday, July 18th from 1-2pm with interment following in Stover Cemetery.
Lena was born in Morgan County, MO on November 28, 1937 to Floyd W. & Lillie E. Duffer. She was a graduate of Stover Public High School & a member of the First Baptist Church. Lena married Dale Eldridge in May of 1957 & they lived in the Independence area since 1962. She was employed in the automobile business for 49 years; 39 of those years were with Charlie Fisher Buick where she retired in April of 2004.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Wilma Foster & Mildred Maddox; a brother, Floyd S. Duffer; a nephew, Jim Bellis & nieces, Brenda and Tina Duffer. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Wegener (Don); grandchildren, Jacob Malvitz & Jordan Malvitz; five nieces & two nephews.
