Linda was born on July 7th, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to Sam and Vita DeAngelo.
Linda married Antonio Romero in 1996. She was a beloved mother, wife, aunt and grandmother. Her family and friends remember her as a kind, loving, generous woman - who encouraged them to pursue their goals and the way she made life a little richer for everyone around her.
Linda was a dedicated individual who loved her family and worked hard to provide a wonderful home. She was a devout Catholic. Linda loved to gather her family for any occasion. She brought people together—through Sunday dinners, holiday feasts, and simple moments that became cherished memories. Her love for storytelling wasn’t just about words; it was about connection, about keeping the past alive, and about showing others how deeply she cared. Her legacy lives on in the meals we cook, the stories we tell, and the love we share around the table.
Linda is preceded in death by both her parents, and her brother Charles F. DeAngelo.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Romero; her son, Joe Monteleone, her grandchildren, Nathan and Emma Monteleone; her stepchildren, Tony Romero Jr., (his daughter Jessica Davidson), Kelly Valentine, (her son Elijah Pardue), Andrew Romero, (his wife Tina), Alex Gerber, (her husband Daniel). She is also survived by her nephew, Sam DeAngelo (Abby), along with their children, Vincent DeAngelo and Vivian Rose DeAngelo — lovingly named in her honor.
