Loretta met Thomas Henshaw in Marysville and they were married on November 18, 1941. They were married for 60 years and raised 12 children together, six girls and six boys. Loretta loved her family and friends. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and cross-stitching. She enjoyed traveling to various places including Međugorje.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her daughter, Barbara Howard, her sons, Gary and James Henshaw. Loretta is survived by her children, daughter Janet with her husband Ted Robins, daughter Beverly, son Ray, daughter Sharon with husband Bud Mitchum, daughter Mary, son Joe Henshaw with wife Marta, son Steve, son David and daughter Carol with husband Bobby Mazza. Loretta has 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Prayers of the Rosary will be held on June 3rd at 5:30pm with visitation from 6pm to 8pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, KCMO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish Leawood, Kansas. Burial at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas will follow.
