

Louise M. Barr, 84, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 6th, 12:00 p.m., at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th, Leawood, KS, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 5th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.
Louise was born January 5, 1928 in Independence, MO to Frank and Josephine (Semik) Kochanowski. She married the love of her life, Ken Barr on July 19, 1958. She was proud to work for Braniff International as a reservationist. Louise loved to travel, decorate, and cook, she had a green thumb and enjoyed nature.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gene, and Harry; and sister, Lorraine. She is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Monica Peter, Gary (Theresa) Barr, Richard Barr; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Dowell, and Shirley Fagan.
