Mrs. Maggie Irrean Parker Reed, daughter of the late Wade and Ruth Chapman Parker, was born in Douglassville, Texas on November 9, 1922.
Maggie was educated in Spiro, Oklahoma. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she met and married the love of her life, the Late Richard E. Reed. They United with Jamison Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and remained members until their demise.
Mrs. Reed, a Strong Willed Lady was blessed with devoted friends (the Fergusons, Franklins, Randolphs and Williamsons) who fulfill responsibilities as family due to the distance of her relatives. Their devotion to her was unmeasurable, and very much appreciated.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings: sisters, Ada Jefferson and Louise Smallwood, brothers, Jewel, Wade Jr, and Bobby Parker. Those who will cherish her memories are, nieces, nephews cousins and devoted church members and caretakers.
A Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 21 in the Chapel of Hope at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
