Manuel Aguirre

Manuel Aguirre, age 85 of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. "Uncle Manuel, the patriarch of his beautiful family, the true definition of a family man. He opened his home to all. I'll always remember him for being loving, always welcoming, and had such a passion for our Aguirre family history. He knew the history of the Aguirre family with his countless years of research. Always so excited and enthusiastic to share it with us. I will remember him with the love for his kids, giving hugs and kisses to them and showing affection. So loving. May God watch over you and bring some comfort in all of the beautiful memories shared with him. Uncle Manuel left a beautiful legacy." written by his niece, Esmeralda (Lala) Ortiz. Manuel was in the process of writing his family biography with his granddaughter, Makayla McNeal. He retired after 29 years of service with the General Services Administration and again from the Raytown School District. He was a loyal and dedicated Chiefs and Royals fan. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucy; four daughters, Stephanie (Jeffrey) Aulgur, Catherine (Brian) Young, Christina (Tim) Richards, Ivon (Matt) Simmons; and two sons, Robert (Jessica) Kingsbury, Peter (Kristin) Aguirre; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters and four brothers. Visitation will be held 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Avenida Cesar E. Chavez, Kansas City, MO 64108. Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, 2201 Cleveland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64127.
