Manuel was born on June 18, 1936 in Waldron, Arkansas to Walker and Elsie Hunsucker. After graduating from Waldron High School, Manuel moved to the Kansas City, MO area where he met his wife, Dorothy, and raised their family. Manuel had a long career as a mechanic at TWA. Outside of work Manuel had a passion for restoring and showing historic automobiles – specifically Ford historic automobiles. This love of historic vehicles evolved to a new hobby of restoring historic tractors. He enjoyed several tractor runs with the Platte County Steam and Gas Association. He also loved camping with his Pak-N-Go family, wood working, and coffee and tall tales with the TWA-ers.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Hunsucker; daughter, Jamie Hunsucker, O’Fallon, MO; son, Dan Hunsucker and wife Callie, Springfield, MO; brother, Jerry Hunsucker and wife Rose, Waldron, AR; sister, Verna Thompson and husband Ron, Wheatland, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family is comforted to know he has joined family, friends, and several beloved pets that passed before him.
