Mag met her future husband while they were still young kids. They lived in the same neighborhood and he came from a very large family and was quite “skinny” so she always worried that he didn’t have enough to eat. Mag married the love of her life, James Robert Grauberger, on December 29, 1944. Their love and commitment to one another is a shining example of a truly happy marriage.
The couple moved to California in 1954 and she worked the next 32 years at Howard Hughes Aircraft as a Systems Analyst in the “Black World” with a higher security clearance than Jimmy. When she retired, and they debriefed her, she steadfastly refused to discuss what her position had entailed and she kept that oath to the very end. Forever loyal to those she loved and a true patriot.
Mag and Jimmy both retired and moved back to the Kansas City area in 1985. For many years, they were able to enjoy their retirement and were involved in many clubs and activities. They both loved to go to garage sales!
After Jimmy passed away, Mag moved to Raymore Missouri and resided in the new home they had built together.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, and their infant son, James Jr.
Mag leaves all the people that knew her with many cherished memories and in her own words…. “Love you more “.
