Born November 18, 1934, to Frank and Nellie Crabill in Ewing, Missouri, Margaret was the last surviving of six siblings and treasured the history of her family.
Her deep love of butterflies and birds brought joy to everyone she met and earned her the honorary title of "Butterfly Lady" at Kingswood, where she was a long-time resident and an active participant in multiple community committees.
She is survived by her son, John McMillen (Peggy); daughter, Greta Mabry (Art); grandchildren, Lindsey McMillen and Patrick Farrens Jr. (Katie); great-grandchildren, McKenzie Carter, Beau, and Ike Farrens; a wide and loving family circle, including many whom she considered her own (Stephanie & Sammie) and her extended Kingswood family. Her grandkids called her grandma by the bridge.
She was preceded in death by a former husband, Joseph McMillen, and a son-in-law, Patrick Farrens Sr.
Cremation. Marge's Life Celebration will be held at Kingswood Retirement Community, 10000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64114, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10 AM. The front desk will assist with building navigation. All are welcome to attend.
