

She is preceded in death by Ralph D. Williams and previous husband George H. Bowen, their daughter Linda Brechter, sons George H. Bowen, Jr., and Stephen L. Bowen; also Ralph's son Christopher Williams, and wife of Stephen, Marie C. Bowen, and also sister-in-laws Bette Seiple, and Ethel Thompson, and brother -in-law Merle Bowen.
Margery is survived by her son David M Bowen (Pamela), daughter Brenda A Bowen (Mike Nelson). She is also survived by her step-children David and Elaine, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-grand grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Margery is also survived by her friend of 25 plus years Nancy Gahn.
Margery was a member and active for many years in Royal Neighbors of America in Kansas City, MO. She was also active in Little League baseball and football as well as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. While her son David was a senior at Oak Park High School in Kansas City, the family hosted an A.F.S. student from Belgium. She became active in working with the local A.F.S. Chapter as well as the Greater Kansas City area council. She was also employed for 25 years at Gladstone Flowers.
Margery worked in several capacities of the Clay County Election Board. While enjoying dance lessons at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Kansas City, MO, she met and married Ralph D. Williams on October 7, 1978. They retired to Sun Lakes, AZ in April of 1990 where they continued to dance by joining the Sunday Night Dance Club. With help of friends, Bob and Arlene Hackbarth, they formed the Wednesday Night Dance Club in 1994. In 1997 they moved to Battlement Mesa, CO where they lived until 2001 when they returned to Sun Lakes for the winter months. In 2004 they moved back to Sun Lakes permanently.
Margery had been active at Palo Verde Ladies Golf. While playing there, she had her only hole-in-one of her golfing life. While in Battlement Mesa, she was active in golf and served as president of the Ladies Club for 2 years. When they returned to Sun Lakes, she played for several more years.
In April 2006, she and Ralph purchased a summer home in Juniper Ridge Resort, northeast of Show Low, AZ. Ralph preceded her in death in September 2011. She then sold the Sun Lakes home in 2015 to move to Gardens at Ocotillo, Candler, AZ, an independent living facility.
Margery returned to Kansas City, MO in the fall of 2020 to an assisted living facility. She moved to the memory care unit on September 1, 2025 where she passed away on December 28, 2025.
Margery will be cremated and later interred in La Plata, MO next to both husbands. Those services have yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Humane Society or to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
