Marie Winkler

Marie C. Winkler, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 14th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4101 East 105th Terrace, Kansas City, MO, 64137, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held, Thursday, June 13th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Marie worked for Thompson Hayward, Duff and Repp Furniture, and Zenith Distributors. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish for over 57 years and a volunteer in several capacities at the Parish. Marie was involved with Rockhurst High School Mother’s Club earlier in her life. She was proud of her Irish Heritage and West Side roots.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Pam Wright; son, Don Winkler; daughter, Suzy (Don) Emig; daughter, Jean (Mike) Steinbrecher; brother, James Tierney; sister, Kathleen Tierney; she is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
