Marjorie Carolyn Howard, age 92, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 18th, 2020 at the Armour Oaks skilled nursing facility.
She was born Marjorie Cornelius in Kidder, Missouri in 1928. After finishing school, she moved to Kansas City and worked for BMA and Hall Brothers. She married Russell Howard in 1946 and they later adopted two children, Kenneth and Joyce. She returned to work for the Shale Goodman Agency and Sanford Cohen Company and raised her family in the Brookside area. The family were members of the Central United Methodist Church. She was a kind and wonderful woman who was a great support to her family; her husband’s work in The Boy Scouts of America, her daughter who suffered from mental illness and her mother Frances who lived to the age of 102. They all preceded her in death. The COVID health crisis greatly affected the end of her life. She was unable to see family for seven months before her passing and her funeral was a very limited service. She is survived by her son, Ken, who misses her dearly and hopes that she understood the circumstances of our times.
