Mark Xavier Herrera, age 29 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on January 3, 2022 at North Kansas City, Hospital. He was born on September 20, 1992 the son of Lisa Ruiz. He was a Momma’s Boy since day one! Mark grew up close to his grandparents Pete & Antonia. As a young child, he found great pleasure in watching his Grandpa work on the Railroad. After his grandpa would come home from work, Mark would help him get out of his work boots and then Mark would put the boots on himself. We knew he would follow in his footsteps one day and he did. Mark currently worked for Capitol Railroad Contracting along with his Dad, Ismael. He was previously employed by KellyHill Construction Company, which kept him away for weeks at a time.
He was an outstanding Father, loved his children unconditionally and enjoyed coming home to spend time with them after work. He enjoyed playing games outside, singing and dancing, teaching them to ride bikes for the first time, playing catch and football with his son, and even made time for his nephews and nieces as well. He enjoyed cooking on the grill with his Mom. Mark was a kind and generous man, always there to lend a hand to his family, friends or anyone. He loved to “bug” his baby sister Erika, “fake ignore” his big sister Rocio and he always talked with his big “lil” Sister Tisa. He always looked out for his brothers Carlos and Raymond. Family was everything. Mark was the youngest brother but he would always say “I’m the Big Brother”. He loved his pit bulls, Cinnamon and Chiko.
