A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 1:30pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Classical KC and the Veterans.
Mark was born on December, 15, 1956 in Kansas City MO to Alvin and Violet Negus. He was an artist and intellect to his core. He enjoyed listening to classical music, reading Mark Twain, and creating art in all forms. He was a talented folk artist and attended KCAI in the 70's. PBS interviewed him in the early 90's, featuring his art. He had several pieces in a folk art museum in Washington, as well as in a museum in Montana. Dogs loved him and he basked in their love and attention. He enjoyed traveling and was able to visit Europe multiple times and to explore the rich wonders of the USA, which he cherished so much.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Negus and mother, Violet Nadine Negus. Survivors include his sister, Cheryl Land, brother Jeffrey Negus, sister-in-law Debbie Negus, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
