Marvin D. Sigle, 86, Raytown, Missouri, passed away January 10, 2013 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 SW Longview Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64081. Marvin was born May 21, 1926 in Waco, Missouri. He grew up in Commerce, Oklahoma and moved to Kansas City, KS where he met the love of his life Dora. They married, lived in North Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Raytown where they lived for 50 years. Marvin’s life centered around his family. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, gardening, and wood-working. Marvin enjoyed his 25 years of retirement spending part of it wintering in Texas. He enjoyed being Grandpa; participating in the activities at Longview Chapel and Hillcrest Community Center. His loss will be felt by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Max Sigle. Marvin is survived by his wife Dora Sigle; daughters Dorene Duffer (Steve Osborn) and Tonya Culver (Ed Culver); granddaughters Amanda Duffer (Jason Russell), Rebecca Culver and Meghan Culver; and Norman Sigle (Ellen).
