Mary Alice Hedges

Mary Alice Hedges, 92, Lee's Summit, MO, passed away December 1, 2012 at her residence from congestive heart failure. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 P.M., Noon, on Wednesday, December 5 at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee's Summit, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, KCMO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association . Mary Alice was born August 25, 1920, in Kansas City, MO, to parents Joseph and Margaret (Phelan) Lienhard. Mary Alice worked several seasons as a tax examiner for the IRS. She loved seeing her great grandkids, and she loved cats. She always tried to have a positive attitude and will be missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by: her husband, George Edgar Hedges; her son, George Edward Hedges; brother, George Lienhard; and sister, Helen Dawe. She is survived by: son, Joe Hedges and wife, Karen; daughter, Marge Hedges; daughter, Susan Gore and husband, Larry; son, Roger Hedges; sisters, Loretta Stone and Josephine Duffy; seven grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
