Mary L. Holloway

Mary L. Holloway, 82, was called away to be with the Lord on June 27, 2014 at St. Luke's East Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 AM Thursday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Heart Assoc.

Mary was born in Warsaw, MO and had lived in this area most of her life. She was the youngest of five children born to Oliver and Daisy Flippin. She was a graduate of Southwest High School. Mary worked as a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Co. for 25 years. Her second job was working with her husband, Dean Holloway, promoting Gospel Music and the business of Hosanna Productions. Mary and Dean did everything together and enjoyed their time and travels with their friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Francis and Oral Flippin and a sister, Lorene McPheeters. Mary's husband of 52 years went to be with the Lord in 2001 and he has been waiting for Mary to join him. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Holloway; a son and daughter in law, Ron and Vicki Holloway; a sister, Virginia Cornell; four grandchildren, Marla Guillen, Heather Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Paige Holloway and five great grandchildren.
