Mary A. Huls, 101, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away May 17, 2011 at New Mark Care Center. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1307 Holmes, Kansas City, Missouri 64016. Mrs. Huls was born September 29, 1909 in Caplinger Mills, Missouri, daughter of Charles E. and Alice (Adams) Kennedy. She had worked as a dental assistant/secretary. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Basil E. Huls in 1987, twin-brother John Alfred Kennedy, sister Lourevia Wagenfuehr, and grandson Tony Montaleone. Mrs. Huls is survived by her son James Walter Ellis; daughter Linda J. Montaleone; two stepdaughters Earlene Golden and Donna Wulf; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
