Mary E. Mansfield

Mary was born on May 6, 1956 to Harold and Luella (Poster) King, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was raised there and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1974. Mary welcomed her two sons, Greg and Brian, in 1981 and 1983. Throughout her life, Mary lived in many places but spent much of her adult life in the Kansas City area near her sons and grandchildren. Family was a tremendous source of joy for Mary and she treasured time spent chatting and playing games.

Mary is survived by her children, Greg (Kelly) Mansfield, Louisburg, KS and Brian (Lisa) Mansfield, Olathe, KS; two grandchildren, William and Thomas; siblings, Cordell (Linda) King, Lee’s Summit, MO; Kathie Hollihan, Minneapolis, MN; Greg (Jan) King, Eden Prairie, MN; Cindy (Mike) Kline, Sioux Falls, SD; Jeff (Barb) King, Eden Prairie, MN; Gini (Dave) Ingvalson, Spirit Lake, IA; Dan (Kristi) King, Grandview, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Luella King; brother-in-law, Tom Hollihan; niece, Stephanie Feit; and uncle and aunt, Ralph and Nell Poster.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with her memorial service to begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
