Today marks 8 months and I still miss you like it were yesterday. I noticed something a little ironic, the past 3 months or so we have a celebration of some sort at the house around the 18th of the month (Yesterday we celebrated Fat Tuesday). The atmosphere is great and everyone is happy and having a great time. I can't help but to wonder if it's you :) I love you Grandma, Always have, Always will.

Mom I miss you, I miss your little half way smitle you would give us and that phone call to take you to the store even though we all know you didn't need anything. Or that call of when does Henry James play and you reminding me don't forget you.  Believe me I don't forget you I know your with me at every game cheering him on you would be proud he is practicing with Varsity.  
Dad came and seen him play and he said Henry james was knocking all the players down. :)  

There is a big whole in my heart missing you wishing you were here with us.  

and we all know who your favorite was.. shh I wont tell anyone. :)

Mom, its four months since you've been gone. 

Angelica had a b-day the other day and doing well at Mizzou. 

Mattie Rhodes annual Dia de los Muertos began on October 3 and we created an altar for you and I'm sure you liked it. We did you proud! 

The KC ROYALS are in the World Series, can you believe it. I guess you must have a hand in helping them get there. The twins went to the last home game when the Royals won to go to the World Series. Monique filmed it and t was electrifying and the atmosphere at the Stadium was just unbelievable and exciting. You know they all said I couldn't go, you know why, haha!!  The Royals will be playing the San Francisco Giants and the Jacobo Family in CA are already talking smack with Teresa. We'll show them, get it SHOM ME (MO the "Show Me State"). 

Halloween is in a few weeks and we will be sure to pass out candy at the house. Dad put your fall wreath on the door, looks nice. 

We all miss you but know that you are with us each day.

Each day that goes by is not easy just gets harder. Making Memories with out you is just not fair.  Missing you so much mom.

Yesterday September 18, 2014 marked 3 months since you passed. I know I saw a glimpse of you the other day walking from the Kitchen to the Dining Room while we were eating dinner celebrating TJ's birthday, it felt so real, I miss you.

Went to the GCI Annual Blanco y Negro Banquet it was really nice. Henry received one of the Tony Aguirre Scholarship Awards, I know you are proud. I had your little black sequin purse and felt you presence as I know you always took it with you when you attend the yearly event with dad. Dad noticed the purse and said your mom has a purse like that, I said I know, it's hers and he smiled. So we know you were with us. 

We are preparing an Alter for you for the Annual Dia de los Muertos event at Mattie Rhodes. Can't wait for the event so you can continue your journey. The new Halls opened at Crown Center, haven't been there yet. I know you probably would have loved to have seen all the newness. The IKEA stored opened, it's not our cup of tea so you didn't miss anything. The Metcalf Mall closes today except Sears and the Glenwood Theatre. Another Mall we frequented/shopped is no longer. 

The American Royal Parade is next week, the Theme again this year is” Salute to the Military” (remember last year when they cancelled due to weather). I know you will be there in Spirit. It was one of our Annual events that we attended. Fall is in the air and just around the corner. Although the fall foliage should be beautiful this year.

Mom - Today is two months (61 days) since you left this earth sitting with God as our Angel in heaven watching over us. I am thankful of all the traditions you created and those we shared with you. I tried making the fried chicken and think I'm getting close to your recipe.Today is Back to School dinner at the house. Angelica is baking a chocolate cake. On Wednesday, she heads to MU - GO TIGERS, MIZZOU, Welcome to the ZOU, and is looking forward to the next chapter(s) of her life. Keep watching over us and thanks for coming to me in my dreams. As I sit here thinking about everything I have to get ready for the kids lunch Henry's football stuff. I cant help but to wipe the tears from my face & think it's not fair your not hear to watch them off to school yelling from your window telling them have a good day at school. 
It hurts my heart that you physically aren't here to see your mijo Tino on his first day of pre-school.

Starting these milestones with the kids & without you is just so hard.

We love and miss you grandma. The love and respect that we hold for you and popie is like no other. Rest well my little Mary and continue to show us you are here through our dreams.

Today I was thinking and missing mom's fried chicken. I also miss calling asking what's for dinner and she would invite me to the house to come and eat, or sometimes saying "I'm on strike", haha, I told her "that just isn't right, really" she would say "yup, you are on your own".  
I also miss shopping with her or going places  (doesn't feel the same w/o her).  
When God called her asking if she was ready, of course, she said "yup come and get me".  As everyone knows she would go anywhere and everywhere anyone would take her.

Thanks to everyone for your support and sympathy of my mom's passing. She is my angel and beautiful flower that God has with him.

Missing mom's fried chicken, she made the best that I can't replicate.  Also missing calling up to the house asking "what did you cook today" and her saying "come up and eat" or I'm on strike". Shopping isn't the same and think of her everywhere I go. Mom answered God's call and went with him when he asked if she was ready to go and of course, as always, she said "yup, come and get me". Today is Paul Henry's birthday Grandma, echiladas are on the menu and we will miss you in the kitchen with us. Love you to the moon and back!!

I dont things words can ever express how I feel. I dont kno if I will ever completely understand why God took you from us so suddenly,  but he does have a bigger better plan for us & I may not agree with it right now but im sure one day I will. 
All I know is I love & miss you soo much it hurts beyond words that I cant call you & talk to you just to hear your voice or to walk in the kitchen smelling & seeing just what you cooked up.

To the Rojas family, thankyou for sharing your loving Mary with everyone.  I thought about her everytime I passed her house.  I have very fond memories of Mrs Rojas from my childhood and her kindness will be missed by many.  Please accept my sincere heartfelt condolenses.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mary was a very close friend of our family and like a second mother to me when growing up. Our family lived behind you across the alley. I still remember the fun times we had. She was a great lady and a very loving mother/friend, she will be greatly missed.

The small part of my life that I got to be around Aunt Mary I felt that she embodied strength, love, acceptance of others, wisdom and kindness. The memories of her have always stayed with me, though I am now 58 and I had not seen her since the age of 20. She seemed to have that impact on others and she was one of the kindest persons I knew as a child. Those memories are forever. My only regret is in losing contact with her and my dad's family, she was his baby sister. May she RIP and may the family find peace in their hearts knowing she will live in their kindness.
