Mary B Schulte

Mary Buckman Schulte, 97 passed away January 7, 2013 at New Mark Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church where a visitation will begin at 10:00AM; burial in Resurrection North Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice.

Mary was born May 28, 1915 to Alfred and Dee Buckman in Shelbina, Missouri. She moved to Kansas City in 1940 to work for Consumers Cooperative. There she met her husband Lawrence Schulte whom she was married to for 53 years. In 1949 Mary began her most important career that of mother to three daughters. She treasured time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her gift of hospitality, love of playing bridge, sewing and baking.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Survivors include her daughters, Jane Willmann and husband Jim, Nancy LaRocca and husband Frank all of Kansas City, MO and Dorothy Schulte of Greeley, CO; four grandchildren, Shane Willmann (Melissa), Troy Willmann (Allison), Nicole Jordan (Tom), Shea Paredes (Ralph); and eleven great grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Luke, Anthony, Caden, Nicholas, Drew, Macey, Jake, Escher and Novella. She also leaves behind siblings Martin Buckman, Josephine Williams and Emma Dimmitt. She will be missed by all.
