Mary Elizabeth Sparks

Mary Elizabeth Sparks, 70, of Parkville, Missouri, passed away October 7, 2014. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Women of Wealth Club, her Bunko Group, and the Out to Lunch Bunch. Mary was also an avid Jazzerciser. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas T. Sparks, in 2011. Survivors include her son, James Taylor Sparks, DVM of Parkville, Missouri; a sister, Judy (Duane) Hubble of Riverside, Missouri; her Grandchildren: Patrick, Sean, and Cara Sparks; her sisters-in-law: Mary Kay Crossley of Liberty, Missouri, and Christine Ihrig of Plantation, Florida; and nieces & nephews: Michael Shockey, Kelle Bovid, Kris Knight, Todd Crossley, Ryan Crossley, Kate Crossley, Erin Beasley, and Ashley Ihrig-Burk. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:30-11:00a.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1401 N.E. 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64116. The Funeral Mass will follow at the Church at 11:00a.m., Friday, October 10, 2014. The family suggests memorial contributions to The Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter.
