

Matilda Louise “Tillie” Talley, 89, of Raytown, Missouri, formerly of Westport, died on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Research Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Ft. Leavenworth Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.
Tillie was born on November 9, 1918 in New Bedford, MA to John and Catherine (Runnells) Bulgar. She came to Kansas City in 1958 with her family and worked as a nurse’s aide and unit secretary at St. Luke’s Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Talley, Jr., in 1977; and sister, Mary Andrews. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Clement Talley and wife Lana, of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Naomi Talley, of Raytown, Missouri, Sharon Henson and husband Frank, of Fairview, Texas, and Diane Dunn and husband Jiles, of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Clifton Bulgar and John Bulgar, both of New Bedford, MA; three sisters, Grace Goodine, of New Bedford, MA, Theresa Bazar and husband Philip, in Ft. Mill, SC, and Sarah Stroud, of the Bronx, NY; brother-in-law Richard Andrews; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and extended family who loved her deeply and will miss her greatly.
