Maxine L. McDowell, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away November 1, 2011. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Mrs. McDowell was born October 3, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of William and Mattie Catherine (Alexander) Polson. She had worked as a Unit Clerk for the Bpatist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray McDowell, son Allen Wells, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Linda Cassidy, brothers William Polson, Jerry Polson, Jimmy Polson, Danny Polson, David Polson, Paul Polson, Dennis Polson and Gary Walther; sisters Donna Geringe and Donna Carney, four grandchildren Robert, Kelly, David and Michael, and four great-grandchildren her buddy Christopher, Michelle, Jeremy and Mikey.
