Melvin "Bud" LaRue, 93, Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away February 22, 2011 at home. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 SW Longview Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri, 64081. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Chapel Christian Church. Mr. LaRue was born May 22, 1917 in Girard, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II serving in the Pacific. Mr. LaRue worked for U.S. Supply for 28 years, before moving to Orlando, Florida, as a manufacturing rep. He was a member of Longview Chapel Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Luna LaRue; his wife of 66 years, Virginia (Trout) LaRue; and brother, Maurice LaRue. He is survived by his son, Steven, and wife, Lynda, of the home; daughter, Raye Dell LaRue, Interlachen, Florida; sister-in-law, Jean LaRue, Frankfort, Tennessee; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
