

Michael J. Blakeley, “Mopar Man” 64, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 after a long illness. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 22 from 5:00-6:30 PM, with Memorial Service to follow at 6:30, at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO.
Mike was born October 30, 1951 along with his twin Sister, Nancy Blakeley Byers to Benjamin and Hazel Blakeley in Kansas City, MO and attended North Kansas City High School. Mike was in the Automotive Industry for over 30 years as a Mechanic and a Service Advisor.
Mike was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family dearly. He was an avid lover of the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs and Drag Racing. He loved his Mopar cars, loved working on them and making things work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Father in Law Don Miller and Best Friend for Life, Ben Pecha.
Mike is survived by his wife of 34 years Donna Blakeley of the home; daughters Katie Burns (Shannon Hicks), Jaime Blakeley and Jennifer Blakeley; grandchildren Kinley Eden (Dad Greg Porter), Cody and Kaylin; sisters Nancy (Ronnie) Byers, Dixie (Glen) Sampson and brother Wayne (Mary) Blakeley; and many nieces and nephews and many other relatives. He also leaves behind a very special lady in his life, Eileen Burns.
He was also an Adoptive Father to many and a Man of many Friends. He loved animals like Mother did and especially his Foster dog.
Mike was not a “Flashy Kind of Guy”. We request that you wear your Kansas City Royals attire to honor Mike at his visitation/service.
