

Mr. Milton L. Bevley, 89, was born on January 24, 1927 in Lynchburg, Virginia, to parents Paul Bevley and Della May Bevley. He was preceded in death by wife Sonja Eva Bevley, daughter Monica Bevley; two brothers Durant and Paul Bevley III; and sisters Mildred Leonza Seay and Lorraine Mayo.
Milton proudly served our country with 30 years of service and retired from the U.S. Army in Fort Riley, Kansas. He continued to serve throughout his life by donating to numerous charities. He was baptized at First Southern Baptist Church of Junction City, Kansas where he lived for several years before residing in Kansas City, Missouri.
Milton was a loving father who was devoted to his children and grandchildren. He loved reading, fishing, working on cars, and watching the "Royals." He had a laid back, caring, loving personality and was known to help others. He was a warrior, a fighter, and a survivor. He will continue to be loved, admired, and looked up to by his loved ones.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: daughter, Michelle Bevley-Vann, of Kansas City, Missouri; a special niece Glenda S. King of Lynchburg, Virginia and a host of other nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Kemyta Terry of Chicago, Illinois, Camia Bevley-Vann, Kiyanna Vann, Robert Vann and Jonathan Vann, all of Kansas City, Missouri.; great-grandchildren, Micah Terry, Junia Bevley, Saneea Bevley, Chasitee Sambol, Chase Sambol, Johnae Boston, Aramis and Arianna Booker; and his four-legged friend, Laila.
Milton's Homegoing will be Friday, September 16, starting with visitation at 10:30 a.m. followed by service at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Burial at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
