

Monica was born on April 8, 1987 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jaime and Annette Calderon Sr. Monica graduated from Bishop Ward High School and worked for the Sammich shop for three years. She moved to Florida to be with her husband, Francisco Javier Dominguez. She worked for Guadalupe Center and Pancho’s Plumbing, not only was she a hard worker she was also a loving and dedicated mother to her four boys. Monica will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and the genuine love she had for her husband, sons and family. Her laughter was infectious, bringing laughter to every room she entered. Monica enjoyed cooking, crocheting and crafting.
Monica was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank Ramirez; uncles, John Aguilar and Daniel Ramirez; aunts, Victoria E. Perez (Bolas), Hazel Borjas; and other loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Javier; four sons, Habimael, Yoriel, Remmy and Adrian of the home; suegra, Graciela Navarro Reyes; parents, Jaime and Annette Calderon, Sr.; grandmother, Frances Ramirez; aunt, Patricia Ramirez; grandparents, Gerardo and Eva Calderon, Tio’s and Tia’s Calderon; siblings, Jaime (Ashley) Calderon Jr., Melinda (Brian) Brazil, Francisco (Ashley) Calderon, Selena (Anthony) Moran, Leticia (Eddie), Emilio (Jessica), Luis (Cody), Juan (Richelle) Calderon, Alejandra Calderon, Rick (Maddy), Aliya (Xavier), Alyssa Tita (Walter), Yolanda Ramirez, Jose Ramirez and Daniel F Ramirez. She leaves behind her niece/goddaughter, Paige Calderon; 8 nieces, 10 nephews and her beloved furbaby, Nikka.
A visitation for Monica will be held 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 901 Avenida Cesar E. Chavez, Kansas City, MO 64108. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine.
