Nelly Concepcion

A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Ivanhoe United Church, 6512 Woodson Rd., Raytown, MO 64133. A private burial will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

She graduated from East High School in Youngstown, Ohio in 1971. While attending church she met the love of her life, Espire. They were married on July 8, 1973 and had two beautiful children. She worked at Cleveland Psychiatric Hospital until moving with her family to Kansas City, Missouri in 1993. Nelly was also a member, along with her husband, Espire, of La iglesia de Dios Church. Nelly began working for the Hickman Mills School District in October of 1993. She retired in August 2019 after serving as the ESOL/Community Family Liaison.

A huge “Thank You” to the Hickman Mills School District for all of their love and support.

She was a beloved sister, daughter, aunt, an amazing wife and a treasured mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lisa Concepción Rosa; and her husband, Espire Concepción.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Concepción (Angela); brother, Angel Gomez; sister, Diana; and grandchildren, Immanuel and Aixa Rosa and James Concepción; and many other family and friends.
