She had two children from her first marriage, Chris and Robbyn. The family moved to Colorado Springs in the 60's. Nina worked as a paralegal, owned rental properties, loved sewing and quilting, was an avid reader and would strike up a conversation with a stranger every chance she was given. One of her greatest passions was singing in the choir, she was able to sing two times at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
She later married Robert Romitti, they owned an Italian restaurant, enjoyed a bit of travel and being bargain hunters. Nina and Robert faithfully attended Sunrise United Methodist church and then Heart Song church in Colorado Springs. After Robert passed away, Nina moved to the Kansas City area to be near her family.
Nina loved spending time with her family, and her role as Grandma Deeda was one of her greatest joys. Another priority for Nina was to find a new church home, she joined Martin City Baptist church and was an active member there. On April 4th Nina left this world to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Nina's faith in Jesus Christ was always an important part of her life. Her greatest desire was that all would hear the good news of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, repent and believe in him.
A visitation for Nina will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
