

Harold was born December 25th, 1922 to David Noble Johnson and Alice Rauch Johnson. He graduated from Parkville High School. Later in life, Harold completed his college education, receiving a B. A. in Business Administration from Park College.
Harold left college after one semester to serve during World War II. He served from November, 1942 until honorably discharged in February, 1946. He was deployed with the Army Air Corps in the Far East Division. He worked in the distribution and management of air assets for the Eastern Theater.
On June 27, 1947 Harold married the love of his life, Frances Holmes. Together they were blessed with five children.
Harold entered the appraisal business in 1948 joining City Bond and Mortgage Company that became part of United Missouri Bank. Harold was a Missouri State Certified Real Estate Appraiser and Real Estate Broker. He earned the designation of SRPA, RN. Harold started a successful, independent appraisal company. He was a member of the Appraisal Institute, the Rural Northland Development Association and the VA Panel of Appraisers, as well as numerous professional and civic organizations.
Harold and Francie were charter members of St. Therese Parish in Parkville. The church and school were built on land that was once part of Harold’s family homestead. After moving to North Kansas City, Harold became an active member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral and his home parish, St. Patrick’s. He was a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus.
Harold had many interests: travel, camping, politics. He earned his private pilot’s license in 1974. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. The true focus of Harold’s life was his precious wife, Francie, and his family. Harold is survived by his sons David Harold Johnson, Thomas Neal Johnson (Madeline), Vincent Gregory Johnson (Kathleen), and daughters Regina Gay Lowry (Justin), and Paula Therese Schmit (Daniel). Grandchildren: Marc Lowry, Seana Hasemeyer, Jennifer Adam, Benjamin Lowry, Rebecca Schmit, Philip Lowry, Melissa Kersten, Leah Easley, Amanda Martin, Emily Thompson, Joanna Pennington, Andrew Johnson, Thomas Schmit, Tess Johnson, Josh Johnson and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3225 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64119; Rosary at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass 11 AM on Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64116; burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Following the service at the cemetery there will be a funeral luncheon for extended family members at St Patrick Parish. Family suggests donations to St. Patrick’s or Avonlea Care Home, 7920 NW Mace Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64152.
