Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 16th at 2:00pm, Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri.
Norma Jean was born into a large family with 8 siblings and grew up in Grandview, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie & Stella Ray, husband Bob, brothers Bill, Donald, James, Jack & sisters Dorothy and Evelyn. She is survived by a son Michael (Robin), Lee's Summit, Missouri and a daughter Susan (Butch), Kansas City, Missouri. Grandchildren Wendy & Brett, brothers Laurence Ray and Bob Ray along with numerous nieces & nephews.
Norma Jean went to work for Marion laboratories when it opened in South Kansas City. During her 30 year tenure, she quite often worked closely with Ewing (Mr. K) & Muriel Kauffman. She loved her time at Marion and all the associates she was fortunate to work with.
Norma Jean & Bob loved sailing on their sailboat "Le Boat" with their beloved dog Beau. They belonged to the Perry Yacht Club, Lake Perry, Kansas where of course Norma Jean was "Entertainment Director". Bob & Norma Jean made wonderful friends and memories with the members of Perry Yacht Club as they became their 2nd family.
All throughout her life, Norma Jean was always the life of the party.
