

She was born on July 22, 1946, in Yahola, Oklahoma, to David Wagner and Luevenia Hunt Wagner. Norma was the only girl and second born in a family with three boys. Norma grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Central Senior High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1964. After high school she went to work at Hallmark for three years, before getting hired to work at Southwestern Bell, then First National Bank (Boatman’s Bank, Bank of America) where she worked for more than 30 years until she retired. Norma kept working for a short period after her retirement for KC Store Fixtures company located in North Kansas City, before fully retiring. Norma loved to read books, loved her dogs, Candy (deceased) and her current fur baby, Cuddles Marie.
Norma married Charles Leach in 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were married for a few years. To this union a son, Charles B. Leach, was born. Norma accepted Christ at a young age and had been a longtime member of Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Kansas City, Missouri.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, David and Luevenia Wagner, and her brother, Johnny Wagner.
Norma is survived by her son, Charles B. Leach (Felicia) of Overland Park, Kansas, her brothers, Carl (Doris) Wagner of Raytown, Missouri, and David A. Wagner of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren Helena Hubbard, Brandon Mitchell, Jasmine Mitchell and great-grandchildren La’Keira Evans, Mi’King Simmons, Riley Badger and Brooklyn Mitchell, plus a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Norma will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the Service in Mount Moriah Cemetery South
