Orville was a devoted husband to his late wife of 50 years, Dorothy Devereaux Repper, who preceded him in death in 2005. They married in Kansas City on May 15, 1954 and together they built a loving family. They raised four children: Ronald (Sharon) Olathe KS, Mona Ramirez of El Paso TX, Patty Repper (Cheryl) of Kansas City, and Richard (Julie) of Raytown, MO. He is survived by his children, seven grandchildren and fourteen grandchildren.
Orville was a Navy veteran on several aircraft carriers during the Korean War. Orville and Dorothy settled in Raytown Missouri and enjoyed a large community of dear neighbors and friends. Orville’s dedication to his family was matched by his commitment to his career as an electrical engineer at Bendix/Allied, where he worked for an impressive 46 years. As an avid outdoorsman throughout his life, he found great joy in hunting and fishing. He and Dorothy enjoyed many vacations and traveling, weekend trips to visit family, snow skiing trips to Colorado, and water-skiing trips to the lake. In retirement they traveled all over the world. These passions created cherished memories and many friendships. It seemed that he could go anywhere in the country or the world and run into a friend. May his memory bring smiles and comfort to all who knew him.
