Dr. Oswald F Pederson, Ed.D., 92, Kansas City, MO, passed away January 6, 2013 at John Knox Village. Private family graveside service will be held in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to V.A. Hospital.
Dr. Pederson was born August 19, 1920 in Radcliffe, IA, son of John F. and Hannah (Rolfsen) Pederson, who emigrated from Norway. He was an active member of D.A.V., American Legion, and the Trench Rats. He was also a Shriner and loved to golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Porter and Homer, and sisters Alvina and Andrene. Dr. Pederson is survived by his wife Maurine (Ishmael) Pederson; sister Ellen Shiver; son John Pederson (Marsha); daughters Catherine Lewis (Dean) and Jennifer Howell (Jack); eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
