Patricia Frances Hargus

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, at Floral Hills,7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO, from 9:00 to 10:00 am with a memorial service immediately following.

Patricia grew up in Independence, MO, and graduated from William Chrisman High School. She met her husband, Loren, at the skating rink in Buckner, MO, and shared a life together for over 61 years before his passing in 2013. Patricia was employed at Zahner & Co. for 14 years, retiring in 1992 to join her husband in retirement and to begin their travels. They enjoyed many cruises together and a special trip to Australia to visit her cousin. She loved spending time on the screened in porch Loren built for her, shopping and especially chocolate. Patricia was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 60 years and a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Independence where she was an active member in the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband; son Steven Hargus; and grandson Christopher Ingram.

She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Ryan and Karen (Jim) Ingram and grandsons; Sean Ryan and Joshua Ingram.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the First Christian Church of Independence or Beta Sigma Phi International.
